Hi there,
We are Richard & Nandi
The husband and wife team that started Cyber Geek as a side-hustle. We started dating in high school (2013) and worked together at Richard’s family guesthouse, George Lodge, from 2015. Richard always had a love for technology and knew he wanted to do something computer-related since he was little. After school, he taught himself to build websites, at first just for friends and family, and in 2019 he officially registered Cyber Geek. Nandi always had a love for design but never knew how to use it, until she did a course in graphic design and designed Cyber Geek’s first logo. This soon became a dream team, with Richard’s technical knowledge building websites and Nandi handling the aesthetic side of things.
In 2020 after we got married, Covid hit and we both couldn’t work in hositality. For the first time we had the chance to give our full attention to Cyber Geek. While many business owners were stuck at home during lockdown they finally had time to pay attention to their online presence, and we were bussier than ever working late nights to keep up with the sudden demand and we are so grateful to say we never looked back.
After lockdown, Richard returned to George Lodge, now as the owner taking over from his mom who ran the lodge for 20 years, while still working for Cyber Geek as owner. Nandi has been working for Cyber Geek full-time ever since as web & graphic designer. There were many late nights, lots of tears, and also many many moments of joy, celebration and literal happy dances when getting a new project. For 3 years it was just the two of us doing EVERYTHING.
Carmi & Enrique
In 2022, we realised we couldn’t keep up with the pace any longer and we needed some help. That is when Carmi (Nandi’s younger sister) joined the team part-time to help with admin, while running her own social media management company with a friend.
In March 2023, her husband Enrique joined the team as our new web developer. Knowing absolutely nothing about websites, we taught him everything he knows and we couldn’t be happier. Richard was able to focus on running the business as owner, and Nandi could hand over the websites to Enrique and just focus on graphic design.
At the end of 2023 Carmi’s business partner left their company and it seemed like the perfect time to join forces. Social media management has always been a service we wanted to offer but never had the capacity to take it on, on top of our existing work.
In February 2024 Carmi joined Cyber Geek full-time, adding social media management to our existing web and graphic design services. But, of course that was not enough! We soon saw that with social media management came the need to be able to create high-quality content for our clients to use on their socials. Since we were quickly turning into a fully fledged digital agency, we thought it would only be fitting to add photography and videography to our list of services. Between Carmi and Richard we can now also capture high quality photos and videos for clients’ websites, social media and much more.
We are so blessed with the amazing clients we have met over the years and so grateful for the growth of Cyber Geek. We can’t wait to see what is ahead in the years to come!

Boss & CEO
Hi, I am Richard, the owner of Cyber Geek. I love taking photos of my dogs and binge watching series with my wife. My passion is technology and I can spend hours researching anything tech related. I love problem solving and helping entrepreneurs. My favourite drink is sparkling water and I can eat pizza every day of the week.
Nandi Marais
Graphic Designer
Hi, I’m Nandi! I have been working for Cyber Geek full-time since 2020. I am a wife to Richard and dog-mom to our 3 fur babies. I love Jesus, drinking coffee with friends, going for walks, and spending time with family. If I weren’t a graphic designer I would probably be an interior designer.
Enrique Calitz

Hi, I am Enrique. I have been a web developer for Cyber Geek since 2023. I am happily married and dedicated to doing what God leads me to do. I enjoy exercising and watching all types of sport. I am good at learning and picking up new skills quickly.
Carmi Calitz
Social Media Manager
Hi, I am Carmi, I have been a social media manager since 2022. I am a wife and a mom who loves Jesus wholeheartedly. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as being active. I also enjoy baking sourdough and artisan bread.
Olive, Hazel & Coco
Our Mascots
Hi, we are Olive, Hazel and Coco, the 3 furry mascots of Cyber Geek. Olive and Hazel joined the team as puppies in 2020 and Coco was adopted two years later. We are all 4 years old and we love getting treats, cuddling with mom & dad, playing with each other.
